When Moses was leading the Jews out of Egypt, the God of Israel promised that a prophet would be sent from amongst their brethren. They were asked to listen to that prophet. ( ). The God of Israel did not say that a prophet would be raised amongst them but rather amongst their brothers. Who are the brothers of the Jews? Are not the Ishmaelites the only brothers of the Isaac, Jacob and their descendants?
A seed from the Ishmaelites was raised as a prophet who came with a different religion but that with the same or similar practices from the Abrahamic root as that practised by the Jews and also Christians. The God of Israel knew that when he comes down to live amongst his people, he would not tell them all things ( ), but would allow that prophet as a medium of the Holy Spirit to reveal that which he (Jesus ), did not tell the disciples ( ).
Jesus, knowing what was to be performed by Mohammed as a prophet, said that what he failed to tell the disciples would be revealed by the Holy Spirit Mohammed.
He emphasized that the said prophet, who would be used as medium for the Holy Spirit, would testify about him (Jesus) ( ). Jesus further stated that, the Holy Spirit, (or the medium) would as well glorify Jesus ( ). Mohammed came to do exactly as was said by Jesus ( ).
The Holy Spirit came through Mohammed to set the record straight by explaining that God does not have a son but Jesus was just glorified with the title as SON. By the time the Spirit sent Mohammed, there was the false doctrine of TRINITY meaning three Gods in One. Meanwhile Jesus always said he was sent by God and could do nothing by himself and whatever he was doing were all from God. Does that mean that Jesus was equal with God. Jesus specifically stated that there is only one true God who is the father who sent him. (John 17:3). If Jesus made such a clarification, why should Christian create the impression that there are three Gods that work together as a union with the name TRINITY. By calling God his Father, Jesus did not imply that God was his biological father. If that is so, then who is the wife of God? God is not flesh but rather a Spirit, and would not copulated as humans do. But when the concept of TRINITY came into exiitence, God the Creator was seen as to like some of the Roman or Greek Gods who could give birth throgh corpulation. This thus reduced the status of the Creator to that of humans or the small Gods representing Him on earth.
Prophet Mohammed therefore came to set the records straight that God is one but not three. He further stated He went further to reveal that Jesus could even create a life bird with sand when he was just a boy playing with his friends. (Qur’an ). Mohammed further stated that Jesus is the Messiah. He further stated that Jesus was the Word. That implied that Jesus was the word with which God created the heavens ad earth. Meanwhile, even the elders of the Jews did not accept Jesus as the Messiah. His own people rejected him, how then should another in another nation glorify him if the one was not sent by the Holy Spirit that was promised by Jesus? If that is so, then who do you think is Mohammed?
Mohammed was a typical example of King David of Israel. David was called to serve a specific group of people and kingdom which was Israel Yet before his kingship, David became an outlaw who received the destitute, the oppressed etc. (1 Samuel 22:2 )~ “And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.” David trained these men to become great warriors. They later went round to conquer, till the time he became the king of Israel.
Such was the case with Prophet Mohammed. When he spoke against the three hundred and sixty -five idols at the holy place where the Kaaba is, he was seen as a heresy and was thus chased to be killed. He ran from Mecca to Medina, and to avoid being captured in Medina, he became an outlaw and left to live in the bush for his life and the message given him. One miraculous incidence is when his pursuers were deceived by a spider who quickly wove a thick cobweb at the entrance as soon as Mohammed entered the cave. When the pursuers got there and saw the cobweb, it was a sign that no one had recently entered through the entrance.
Mohammed had to stay there for some time till he was visited by other persecuted people. Like how people left to join David in the bush when he ran as a fugitive from Saul, those who were having issues with the authorities in Mecca and Medina fled to join Mohammed. He remained in the bush till a time he had enough men to indoctrinate to go and indoctrinate others and even capture those who declined to accept their message. Those who accepted as converts were baptized to establish the new faith of ISLAM.
