DR. TIGER ELIAS OPPONG(PhD), the author of THE SECOND BIBLE, is the CEO of DR. TIGER YOUTH EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION, an NGO which seeks the welfare of the youths in Ghana. He is the founder of Dr. Tiger Knowledge Platform (DTKP), an AI Ecosystem that enhances the activities of Researchers, Lecturers, Pastors, Theologians etc. He is an entrepreneur who hails from Kumawu but resides at Nkwantakese Habitat in Afigya Kwabre North District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He is the Managing Director of an Art Company by name of NADOTELO VENTURES.
He was born and bred in the SAVIOUR CHURCH OF GHANA, a church that guides members to salvation by abstaining from evil and to live pious lives. He is a Theologian with the gift of discernment of spiritual meanings (Corinthians 12: 10 (KJV)). The Spirit of discernment unravels the mysteries or hidden truths in any religious message. Dr. Tiger brings clarity to all topics and even those many fear to approach, bringing out more informed implications or meanings. He has thus written more than thirty (30+) books and myriads of articles that reveal the mysteries or hidden truths in the Holy Bible. Subsequently, the collection of the said mysteries is titled THE SECOND BIBLE which is presented in two testaments, the BOOKS TESTAMENT being the first, and the second as, the ARTICLES TESTAMENT.
Dr. Tiger is an adept who renders THESES and ARTICLES CONSULTANCY with very moderate fees. (Poster displayed below). Besides that, he is a Conceptual Painter and Sculptor with academic credentials of PhD. (Painting and Sculpture) from the KWAME NKRUMAH UNUVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (KNUST), KUMASI, GHANA.
Dr. Tiger conceptualizes scenes and actions as themes in his paintings. In August 2006, he was offered scholarship to pursue an MPhil/PhD programme to be employed as lecturer at the KNUST, Kumasi. When pursuing the Doctor of Philosophy programme, the research he conducted was on the Asante Kingdom with the title ASANTE FOLKLORE AND KUMASI KIOSK ARCHITECTURE: A VISUAL EXPLORATION OF HIBRIDITY AND MYTHOGRAPHY. With the above research title, one life-size collapsible kiosk with a conglomeration of eight parts, was thus constructed, signifying the Unitarianism of the Eight Asante Families. One prototype of the kiosk as well as two miniatures were also constructed with inner and outer paintings including the roofs and the floors. Like the prototype and the two miniatures, the inner and outer surfaces of the main collapsible kiosk, as well as the ceiling and the floor were thus covered with ABERPHOH conceptual paintings which portrayed the Totems, Folklore and Mythologies of the Eight Families of the Asantes. Because the kiosk symbolizes the unitary spirit of the GOLDEN STOOL, the kiosk was thus named THE GOLDEN KIOSK OF ASANTE. With brightly coloured paintings from the plethora of rich Asante folklore, mythology, proverbs and folktales, the GOLDEN KIOK was displayed at the KNUST Museum for a period of five years,- January 2009 to May, 2014. A website is to be created for the GOLDEN KIOSK OF ASANTES which is intended to be erected and displayed publicly again before being sold to a collector, connoisseur or curator.
He completed the above combined programme of Painting and Sculpture within two and half years, from August 6th, 2006 to February 9th, 2009. He was however delayed and thus presented and defended both his research thesis and a book transcribed from it (the first of its kind as requirement) on November 23rd, 2011. Posters with his two pictures, one with coat and tie and the other in cloth, depicting the hybrid culture of the Asantes, had been displayed all around campus. (Copy of poster below). Thus, on the day of his presentation and defence, people thronged to his hall of defence which was jammed with the majority outside the hall. With a red band around his head, his dress code, which was a black funeral cloth (kuntunkuni) over a white lacoste shirt and native sandals (Ahenema), stirred controversy among the Panel of his presentation as no such dress code had been used. However, with logical explanation, he was permitted to present. The presentation took a dramatic form of Ananse Storytelling technique, at the end of which he received admiration and applause from the panel and audience (Picture below).
KNUST was the first university to require PhD candidates to transcribe their thesis to book and defend booth at the oral examination before the award of PhD degree. However, after his defence, that tedious requirement of transcribing thesis to book and defending both, was withdrawn from KNUST. Meaning he is the only candidate who defended a thesis and its transcribed book before the award of a PhD. This research set four world records for KNUST and as such was displayed on the internet as ‘‘knust sets four world records at a pace.’’
Dr. Tiger is an Educationist who has taught from the primary to the Senior High level as well as being a Demonstrator or Part-time Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology for a period of three years. He is a Counsellor who, at the first degree, took the Peer Counselling course on part-time basis for a period of four years with the position as the ORGANIZING SECRETARY at the final year which was 2003/2004.
Dr. Tiger is a poet whose poems are likewise based on African rich philosophical culture as well as religion, particularly the Christian Religion. He has a collection of unpublished poetry. Some of the poems are based on Art as others are based on Religion. The poetic talent is at times displayed in his religious articles which will soon be published.
