When Abraham gave birth to Ishmael through Hagar, the maid of Sarah, he later had another son through Sarah and named him Isaac . Sarah, afraid that the inheritance of Abraham would fall on Ishmael, the son of her maid, asked Abraham to send Hagar and her son away so that Isaac would become the apparent heir. Though Abraham was reluctant, he was asked by his God to comply with the request of Sarah. Through Isaac came Jacob and his twelve sons, Judah and his other eleven brothers. The nation of Israel was thus formed through their descendants.
When in Egypt as slaves, the God of Abraham sent them away through Moses and established the monotheistic religion of Judaism when in the Wilderness of Sinai. The God of Israel gave them commandments of several rules to follow to enable them have peace. When they were settled down peacefully as a nation, the God of Israel promised on different occasions to come down and live with them.
When YHWH, the God of Israel came down as Jesus, he was rejected and crucified as had been prophesied variously through the prophets. After the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus, the Disciples converted Apostles who helped the establish Christianity.
Several years, about six hundred years later, the promise to Abraham to bless all nation through him was fulfilled. Through Muhamed or Mohammed (PBUH) another religion known as ISLAM was established. Now the three religions especially Christianity and Islam are almost at all corners of the world. And thus the promise to bless all nations through Abraham has been fulfilled. With the fulfillment of such a prophecy, it is thus the duty of the three religions emerging from Abraham to be proud and happy with themselves and thus embrace each other in a brotherly manner. Members of Judaism, Christianity and Islam should therefore see themselves as the same religion with the same One God, and thus they are one people with ‘the same blood,’ with one common goal.
